Most golfers at some point
complain about the “slow” players in front of them, but the reality is we are
often slow ourselves. Everyone except tournament players should play ready golf
in my mind. Here are some ideas, many old and some new.
1.
When ready, hit your ball or putt. One practice
swing and pull the trigger.
2.
White tees for men except those with a 13
handicap or better.
3.
More marshalls on the course moving people
along.
4.
5 minutes at most looking for a lost ball.
5.
No do over balls.
6.
Register scores at the next hole.
7.
No alcoholic beverages on the course. ( I never
saw Bill Russell or Kareem have a brew during a time out)
8.
More yard markers on the course.
9.
GPS units on all carts.
