Aviara

Yesterday I watched the women of the LGPA play a tournament at the nearby Aviara Golf Course. I was struck by their precise iron play, ability to position their shots, and calm demeanor. Lexi Thompson stood out with her long drives and fairway wood shots. She reached the par 5, 500 +   8 TH hole in 2.  She used an iron on her second shot!

There were not a lot of people at the tournament yesterday, and it was possible to get close to the players. I will look forward to going next year!
