A low, misty cloud hung over the Lakes Course this morning,
as we walked to the tee box. An egret and a blue heron were a few feet to my
right. Two walkers were in front, but they let us play through around hole 5.
The nearby polo fields were alive with cheering, as a major soccer tournament
was taking place.
The Ocean course was empty as we played hole after hole.
After a while the marshes and the ponds grow on you, and the wildness of the
courses permeates your consciousness. Eventually we finished the round and
headed for coffee before driving home.
